ERG Plastic Fabrication – Company Rebrand
After nearly five decades in operation, BHP Plastics formally adopted the trading name ERG Plastic Fabrication Ltd, aligning the business with its registered company name and its position within the ERG Group.
Originally founded in the early 1970s, the business has long been known for bespoke thermoplastic and composite fabrication, supplying non-standard pipework, tanks, ductwork and custom components to industrial clients across the UK.
While the trading name has changed over the years, the core focus of the workshop has remained consistent: practical, built-to-drawing plastic fabrication for industrial use.
The rebrand clarifies the company’s role within the ERG Group structure, alongside ERG Air Pollution Control Ltd and other associated manufacturing businesses. ERG Plastic Fabrication continues to operate from its West Sussex facility, manufacturing bespoke components and short-run fabrications for both internal group projects and external industrial clients.
The workshop remains equipped with specialist thermoplastic welding equipment, including infrared welding capability for polypropylene, PVDF, HDPE and other engineered plastics where joint integrity and contamination control are critical.
The updated name reflects the business as it operates today — a dedicated plastic fabrication workshop supporting non-standard industrial requirements.
