ERG Plastic Fabrication has been building bespoke plastic fabrications for industrial use for more than five decades.
Originally founded in the early 1970s as BHP Plastic Fabrications Ltd by Brian Henry Picking, the company established a reputation for practical, well-built thermoplastic and GRP fabrications long before plastic process equipment became mainstream.
In 1998, Chris Barton joined the business and later became Managing Director following the retirement of the founder. ERG (Air Pollution Control) Ltd acquired a shareholding in 2010, formalising a long-standing working relationship between the two companies.
Over the years the company has traded under several names — including BHP Plastics — reflecting its heritage and evolving structure. Today, the business operates as ERG Plastic Fabrication Ltd, while retaining the same workshop culture and fabrication focus that defined it from the beginning.
In 2021, after nearly 50 years at Whitebreads Farm in Slinfold, ERG Plastic Fabrication relocated to a purpose-built facility at Bridge House Environmental Centre.
The site includes:
The facility allows us to handle larger and more complex builds while maintaining the hands-on workshop approach that defines ERGPF.
ERG Plastic Fabrication operates as a specialist fabrication workshop within the wider ERG Group structure.
We support:
We do not design complete process systems. We build the components that others specify.
Today, ERGPF is led by Martin Bulman, Director / General Manager, supported by an experienced team of plastic fabricators and workshop staff.
The focus remains unchanged:
Accurate fabrication.
Practical delivery.
Work built to drawing.
